JIMÉNEZ, EDITH. Before receiving a scholarship to study engraving in Brazil, a medium in which she excels and has won several prizes, Miss Jiménez devoted herself only to painting. She has participated in print shows in São Paulo, Asunción, Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, and Madrid. After her return from Brazil, she taught engraving in the Paraguayan-Brazilian Cultural Institute. She was born in Asunción in 1922. Also in the Braniff Airways Collection are her gouache and ink "LANDSCAPE," 1959, 15-1/4 x 22-3/4, and a xylograph "COMPOSITION," 1959, 18-5/8 x 12.
