SCHULZ, LOTTE (69). Apart from occasional consultations with the Brazilian Livio Abramo, Miss Schulz is self-taught in engraving. She has participated in exhibits in Paraguay and abroad, in two São Paulo Biennials, in the Latin-American Competition in xylography in Buenos Aires, where in 1960 she won first prize from the National Foundation of Arts, in Biennials in Lugano, Santiago de Chile, and Tokyo, in the Art of America and Spain in Madrid, and in the circulating show of the Pan American Union. She is also a journalist and book-illustrator. She was born in Encarnación, Paraguay, in 1925. The Braniff International Collection also contains the following by her: "TELURICO V," 1962, xylograph, 11-3/8 x 12-5/8; “COMPETITION" 1960, xylograph, 31-3/4 x 10-3/4; "COCOTEROS" 1964, ink, 8 x 5.
